Member of the YIUP and 'Normal' groups. Visiting professor of painting at the University of Kassel and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. From 2010, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. Works in, among others, the Städel Museum, the Bavarian State Painting Collection, and many other collections; 1981 Lisa and David Lauber Prize for Painting; 2016 City of Nuremberg Prize
